Diaspora wanted to create a second volume of Camino Tumbado that felt authentic, flexible, and deeply connected to the roots of Corridos Tumbados. This was not just another generic sample pack.
They needed more than artwork.
They needed real musicians, real stories, and a cohesive creative direction.
I led the visual and creative direction for the project, designing the pack artwork and helping shape how the product would be presented to producers and artists.
Beyond design, I helped identify and recruit the right musicians to bring the sound to life. We recorded the sessions at Valve Studios in Dallas, capturing both traditional and experimental interpretations of Tumbado.
To support the release, I produced a short documentary-style video featuring interviews with the musicians and producers, highlighting the process, culture, and intention behind the pack.
The project came together as something cohesive. From the artwork to the recordings to the stories behind them.
Producers gained a flexible, high-quality tool, and the artists saw their culture represented with intention.
Camino Tumbado Vol. 1 & 2 became more than a release.
It became a shared creative experience.
